Visual Lab Quest

UNS offers a free, five-week virtual program that provides students with an academic enrichment opportunity to compete against international peers in youth-conducted research and scientific literature projects, where participants learn to research famous STEAM experiments, create visually compelling presentations, and confidently present their findings to a panel of UNS judges, with cash prizes awarded to top presentations based on scientific content, creativity, and presentation skills; this program is perfect for students interested in enhancing their research, public speaking, and graphic design abilities, and participants will receive academic mentoring, certificates, recommendation letters, and opportunities for publication on our website and social media, preparing them to become Up Next Scientists.

Creativity In Research

This program offers a unique six-week opportunity to create research outputs, including research articles, infographic posters, and research posts, using their original data; participants explore research, science, and design, working in the first three weekly 40-minute sessions with UNS’s Literary Research team to design experiments and collect global data, then partnering with the Visual Research team in the final sessions to turn their findings into engaging visuals, which are published on the UNS website and social media. Students gain valuable experience in research, teamwork, academic writing, and graphic design, along with certificates, volunteer hours, and leadership opportunities for dedicated individuals.

Writers Lab

UNS is offering a selective, six-week, free virtual program that immerses students in the world of STEAM research, where participants receive one-on-one guidance in writing scientific literature through asynchronous lessons and synchronous mentor meetings, culminating in the creation and publication of a research paper (such as a literature review, meta-analysis, or hypothetical research paper) in the October Writers’ Lab Journal, and offering additional opportunities for publication, volunteer hours, certificates, recommendation letters, and leadership roles within UNS, making it ideal for students seeking to build research skills, gain mentorship, and enhance their resumes.
